Reprocentre has recently installed a number of Mimaki printers, most recently in Digital Outputs based in Clara, Co. Kilkenny. The company has installed a Mimaki CJV30-130 print/cut machine to enable it to develop outdoor solutions for its clients alongside its indoor large-format business which, until recently, was based on an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 printer.
Digital Outputs intends to use the new printer for applications such as outdoor vinyls, canvas, wallpaper and roll-ups. Managing director Davy Brennan said: “The Mimaki CJV30-130 gives Digital Outputs the quality level this company needs for outdoor applications as well as eliminating having to laminate prints such as 8ft x 4ft Corrieboard jobs. Quality and vibrancy of colour is paramount to me for both indoor and outdoor signage.”
Bernard Hoey, account executive with Reprocentre, said: “Digital Outputs was already involved in digital wide-format printing which was indoor work. However, more and more clients were asking for outdoor print solutions so MD Davy Brennan had to make a decision on an outdoor printer to satisfy this need. Digital Outputs did a lot of research on machines that were available and came to the conclusion that the Mimaki was the best solution for its needs.”
